Time

Lately we have been thinking alot about time. As you can see on the left hand side of our blog we now show the time in Ethiopia. We were struck lately by a blog entry that we read (sorry I can't recall where, so if it was yours let me know). The blogger was talking about the wait time for referral and that although she was anxious for the referral to happen she also knew that the longer the wait time, possibly the longer that her child would be with her birth family. What a beautiful way to think about the wait time. We always want what is best for our children and the more time that they have to spend with their birth family the better.
I have been distracted lately by thinking about how the timing will work out for our referral. Will we get a referral and get through court before the court shut down? (not likely) Will we get a referral during the court shut down and then have an excruciating wait for the courts to open again (Probably). I have to constantly be reminding myself that I must hold every thought captive to Christ and rest on his perfect timing, according to his good will. There are so many unknowns right now, but we have one constant, one thing that never changes and that is God and his perfect will.
