Last night we learned that Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman's 5 year old daughter was hit by their SUV in their home's driveway. This morning we learned that she passed away because of her injuries. Our hearts are heavy and grieving for this whole family. We take comfort in the fact that our Lord is sovereign and that He has a purpose for this and also for the fact that the Chapman family knows Christ and has Him to lean on in such tragedy.
Our family had the pleasure of meeting SCC in March at one of his concerts. Steven is such a "real" person, very personable and very caring. He and his wife have been such advocates for international adoption, for that we are thankful. God has used SCC ministry for great and mighty things- for orphans worldwide.
May we all lift the Chapman family up in our prayers. Intercede on their behalf. May God be glorified through even such a tragedy as this.
