Spare Time??

This week has been jammed pack full of projects. The past 4 years our family has hosted a 4th of July party for our church family. We look forward to this each year, but the preparations start early. Hosting a big event like this inspires us to a home improvement project. Last year we just added the in ground trampoline along with the dirt moving that went along with it. This year we (possibly just me??) decided to redo the bathroom. This is one r00m we haven't touched with a paint brush since we moved in 9 years ago, yuk, it really needed it soon! Hannah and I decided that light blue with a dark brown accent would work beautifully. We love the outcome!

On Wednesday, Hannah kicked off 4-H judging week with her clothing project. She choses to do the Consumer clothing where she SHOPS instead of sewing!. She enjoys it. I really liked the outfit she chose this year. Does she not look too old????

Eli and Hannah both will have more projects to have judged this next week. I will keep you posted on the results.

All this is going on while play practice continues. It has been alot of running to town, but I know that all their hard work and dedication will pay off. This mornig the kids were in a walking "float" in our town's 4th of July parade. Thankfully, we got it in right before the rain began :( which is the reason is have some spare time. Our party will be a 5th of July party due to the all day rain here in Indiana. Bummer. Forecast says blue and sunny skies tomorrow afternoon. So, we have one more day to get ready, to scrub another corner and to anticipate fun with our church family.

Oh, many families we know are in the air as I type to pick up their children in Ethiopia. Please be praying for their safe arrival!!!
