Astonished

Astonished with joy, grace, fellowship, provision, goodness and faithfulness.
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask of think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20,21
These are the verses that we have turned to time and time again throughout our adoption journey. Today we are less that 48 hrs. away from traveling to Ethiopia to hold our daughter. We take with us the prayers of our family and friends, the gifts of so many and the love of Christ. It is our sincere hope that the thing that is most crystal clear in our lives is that all that we do we do for the Glory of God. We cannot begin to express what an awesome week it has been. We (Melissa really) has been packing bags and totes, checking and re-checking documents and making last minute arrangements that we hadn't thought of. We have had sweet fellowship with friends and family this week, none sweeter than the time we spent with our dearest friends last night in prayer.

We about to embark on a new journey as a family of 6! It is amazing to know that we are really going to have Abeba in our arms in just a few short days. To our friends that are still waiting for referrals and court dates we continue to pray for God's Will and Timing in all this, praying for peace and patience for you as well. Be in prayer for us that we will be patient, understanding and show Christ's love while we travel to bring Abeba home. We know that we will face new and uncomfortable situations, but we aren't called to a life of comfort are we?

We plan to continue to blog here and share how we packed, made travel arrangements, about the guest house, travel and all the other things we will be experiencing as we continue on this great adventure. So, stay tuned here....
