USCIS and other news...

This past week we have been working to get our I-600A paperwork to USCIS. This form is basically to ask the federal government for advanced approval to adopt a child internationally. We initially mailed the paperwork and then realized that we had forgotten a portion of it (oops). We then realized that we had to send an original of the homestudy (contrary to what the website says I might add). We have sent in all the appropriate information now, we think. In some other news, our County suffered some devastating flooding this past week. Some 200 homes were destroyed and many families displaced. Pray for those affected families and those workers who are helping them through the recovery process. We are looking forward to the wedding of a great friend of our family, she has been the babysitter of our children for many years and is the daughter of our vocational pastor. I have the privilege of performing the wedding ceremony (a first for me) and we all are encouraged by the great spiritual growth that we have seen in her and her perspective groom. Please pray that we will continue to seek Godly wisdom as we continue in the adoption process and that we persevere. We thank you all for your continued support of our family...even to those of you that we have only met through this blog. We have been so encouraged by so many of you.
