Preparing for travel
We want to thank all of our friends and family for your comments and encouragement for our successful court date. The past several days have found us in a flurry of activity in preparation for our travel. We will be arrive in Ethiopia on January 11th and will return home on January 17th. We were thankful to be able to make our airline reservations without and problems. We used Susan Parr Travel for our travel arrangements are were very happy with the quick, courteous service that we have received from them so far. We were also thrilled that we will be staying in the Ayat House, a guest house that is not far from the Gladney care center. If you are reading this and happen to be the family staying at Ayat House on January 11th and 12th email us, we would love to talk to you.
We are now trying to work out how we will possibly get all of our luggage and humanitarian aid to Ethiopia without it costing a fortune. We were very blessed with a huge amount of humanitarian aid and want to be able to be sure that it all gets to Ethiopia. We know that we will be able to work it all out, but right now we just aren't sure how. We have made arrangements for our other kiddos to stay with family and friends while we are away. We are so thankful for great church family that are so willing to help us out, knowing that it is inconvenient for them. We look forward to this week in which we will spend time with family as we remember the incarnation of our Lord. My sincere hope is that God will be glorified and the Hope of the Gospel will be spread wherever we find ourselves in the upcoming weeks.
Our family is going to be featured in our local weekly newspaper this week for an article on adoption. We were interviewed over the weekend and had our picture taken today. The article will be on the front page. You can check it out beginning this Wednesday at Carroll County Comet . Pray that we will have many opportunities from this article to raise awareness and advocate for orphans and adoption.
