Since the referral of our latest little Darling "A", we have had some wonderful opportunities to talk more with people about adoption and as a result of that to share the gospel. We have been able to share pictures with family and friends and that has made it seem "more real" to some. We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of help that we have received the past couple of weeks. God has provided abundantly more than we could ever have imagined. I know that I say that a lot, but it has just been amazing to us to see God work out all the details and provision for us to bring "A" home. I want to be absolutely certain that you understand one thing, when we started out on this adoption journey we had no idea where the funding would come from, God has provided it all along the way and he is the one that deserves all the Glory for it.
We are thankful to all of you that we have grown to know throughout our journey, it is wonderful the network of believers that we have met. In the beginning we thought we might be isolated, and island unto ourselves. After all how many families like ours would be adopting a child from Ethiopia? Well, I am here to tell you that we have amazing friends in this virtual world and I hope that we will be able to meet some of you in person some day, and if not then in Glory!
We are patiently waiting to be assigned a court date. That is the next step in the process. Please pray for the families that have yet again had their courtdates postponed. As hard as the wait for the referral was , I can't imagine waiting so long for a court date. We are still hopeful to have "A" home before the end of the year.
