Marathon World Record (again)

As you know from previous posts I have become an avid runner. I have even become a part of Team Running Hope which is a partner of Shaohannah's Hope (you can check out the web page here )
This past Saturday I ran my first race as a part of Running Hope. It was a 10K called the Bee Bumble.
It was a a great day and we had beautiful weather, I was glad that I had a friend of mine with me running the race to help keep me motivated. The words of Paul keep resonating in my mind (Hebrews 12:1) as I finished the race. We finished the race in a time of 56 minutes, which is far faster than we expected to be. I was feeling really good about our time (and a bit puffed up about it) until I read that Haile Gebrselaissie (an Ethiopian runner) had beat his own world record with a time of 2:03:59 here is a link to the story. That really put our roughly 9 minute mile pace into perspective.
We continue to persevere with endurance as we await word about the referral of our daughter in Ethiopia.

I've always loved to run. My sister-in-law and I began preparing for a 10 mile run next year--we've since decided maybe we should start with a 5K! (O:
Way to go on your run!

I hope you get a call soon!
I'm watching and waiting!
