Rainbow Acres

Today was an incredibly difficult day, nothing adoption related, just know that it was very difficult. Well this evening after our normal Friday evening thunderstorm (which we have been experiencing for the past month) this is what appeared behind our home:

That friends is a double rainbow!! I couldn't get the entire thing in the picture, but the whole rainbow was visible from our back porch. We often get the joy of this rainbow appearing here in this very location. Every time we are reminded of the goodness of God and his promises to his people.

Our family has often tried to think of a name for our little 5 acres of land here in the rural Midwest. This week we decided on a name: Rainbow Acres . We thought not only is it fitting, because after all a rainbow lives in our back yard, but it reminds us of God's goodness to us and his promises. It also reflects some of what our family will be when we get our daughter home. We appreciate your prayers for all of the Ethiopia adoption families , the situation in Ethiopia is very difficult right now.
